While travelling through a bus have you ever wondered that can we book a seat before hand, check whether a seat is broken or not, which seat is occupied and which is not??. Then this project is all for you. This can be implemented in buses with no problem and it easily shows a seat's availability and condition with the help of led lights and a web-based application.
This is an online application which enables user to book seats of a bus from their homes so as to ensure a comfortable
journey. A remote web server hosts the data of layout of bus seats and their occupancy. There is an array of LEDs above the
seat indicating occupancy status of the seat and a force sensor on the seat back connected to Bolt(an IOT device) via arduino
which sends the occupancy data to the web server where it is managed .This project was adjusted as the best idea and implementation in an IoT hackathon conducted by leading IoT startup Inventrom. It's working can be understood from the following videos :
